EFI Automotive has been developing magnetic target wheels for more than 20 years and has filed 15 magnetization patents.

It is an alternative to mechanical target wheels, removing the need for the rare-earth magnets in these sensors by replacing them with an elasto-ferrite magnetic strip.

It triggers the events that tell the system the position of the tree on which it is mounted (crankshaft, camshaft, drive shaft, etc.)

It offers the advantage of a perfectly circular design and thus avoids splashes in oil or even whistling in air.

It is mechanically balanced with reduced run-out.
